Technical
Expertise
Having previously spent several years in Germany involved in the technical support, design and detailing of
many projects around the world, Mr. Sharp came to the States with a
strong background in systems design, materials applications and
diverse construction techniques, as well as materials standards,
testing and building construction codes.
Experience
with the European Agrèment Approvals process, British Standards
Institute (BSI) and the German Institute for Standards (DIN) provided
a base for his contribution to the writing of ASTM (American Society
for Testing and Materials) standards for the new generation of roofing
materials.
His
participation with SPRI
(Single-Ply Roofing Institute) and the acknowledgment of
his credentials in flat roofing by his election to the Faculty of the
independent Roofing
Industry Educational Institute (RIEI), based in Denver,
Colorado, additionally speak for his leadership role in the industry.
Mr.
Sharp is also a member of the Roofing
Consultants Institute (RCI) as well as the Construction
Specifications Institute (CSI), a national body of
architects, suppliers and design professionals dedicated to high
quality design and construction of buildings. SRA-INC is also an NRCA
member.
